Miu Miu SS15: Good Girls Gone Bad
Miuccia Prada SS15 Miu Miu collection is all about the girls from the 1950’s who strutted their paces down wooden arches that resembled the cloisters of a monastery backed by music that gave off the clues to the fashion theme.
The models walked with slicked back hair, and a juxtaposition of cute and sweetest style in pencil skirts and pretty tops, floral silks, checked coats and murky shades of leather, all with a palette of colour, textures and fabrics that gave a feel and character to even the most simplest of clothing. Knee length plaids paired with silk pants, ruffled shirts and bow heels and all worn with bad attitudes of good girls gone bad.
Red leather was awash on the catwalk and heavy leather coats worn with fluffy white skirts as this collection was inspired by the John Waters’ 1974 film Female Trouble with the models representation Divine’s character, Dawn Davenport, a spoiled good girl gone bad, hence the school uniform looks, with a look that she wore when she ran away from home, cropped pants and tops perfected that look.
But for all of this it was the sweetest of cherry-coloured glasses we will all be sporting as soon as. Whatever you think Miuccia Prada put a little twist on her sweet girl looks from last spring.
