Versace Menswear Spring Summer 2015 Milan
Donatella Versace came with another luxury collection for SS15. In eye popping colour candy tones, bright pink and togas galore. Drawing her inspiration from the exotic island of Cuba, with it’s pastel and white wash colour palette of it’s cities, graffiti and vintage automobiles from her own travel experiences, Donatella came in with easy styling for the new 2015 year.
With macrame shirts, palm tree prints in pants, this selection screamed the 80s candy coloured suits in crepe de chine, broderie anglaise suits, all about the cuban soul. The model strutted the catwalks, jangling chunky gold jewellery carrying picnic baskets filled with dinner plates from their own brand homewear collection.
Men draped in togas in white and gold from the Versace bedding line to add that extra glamour. But it was all about the pink, in the suit that opened the collection, and probably only for men who would be confident enough with their own masculinity.
Everywhere else the signature Versace barrio fishnet poked out from beige jackets, and finally the pool-ready models strutting in the swimwear, with nonchalant towels thrown over their shoulders.
