Versace Resort 2014
Gorgeous Versace came with the 2014 Resort with a take on the sailor theme, pastel colours that were as sweet and cute as any girl would wish. Tangerine, turquoise, chartreuse, and bubblegum pink and then there was monochrome and black that came in beautiful sexy dresses.
These frocks are all about curves. And accenting the collection’s marinière stripes with tiny floral prints, vichy checks were also part of the lively mix, layers of micro-pleated bright tulle dresses came with strappy asymmetrical necklines, or with slashes on the torso.
Long to-the-floor skirts were a new silhouette paired with crop tops and tiny bandeaus, sexy, of course, but button detailing and candy colors made it perfect for a girly, girly look. Matching shoes, stiletto sandals with bands of stretch jersey wrapped around the foot were killer on the looks, giving that Versace air of class and ultimate style, but within reach of a look that could be carried out from day-to-night.
Donatella Versace has never shied away from the micro mini and as hemlines have been falling with designers emphasizing a lean, elongated silhouette, Donatella goes lower-shin length, and those long skirts still have a thigh-high slit.
