Lady Gaga is the Versace Muse in its Official SS14 Campaign
Lady Gaga, the twenty seven year old and known for bright colors, body-conscious silhouettes and a ‘more is more’ philosophy, it is not surprising that Versace chose this fearless fashionista to front their S/S 14 campaign. The sometimes extreme musical American pop singer is now the face of the Versace Spring Summer 2014 Ad Campaign, with her first official campaign image also being unveiled.
The ‘Venus’ singer has been described as “like family” by Versace boss Donatella. Donatella said in a statement to announce the news. “I wanted to capture her true beauty and spirit in images that are elegant and alluring. Styled by Joe McKenna, and photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and it was Marcus who had said that they wanted Gaga to look like Donatella Versace for the shoot.
Wearing a stunning and a slinky, figure-hugging lilac wrap dress with knotted bandage detailing and a ruched finish, Lady Gaga is seen reclining on a chaise-longue with her long Donatella-esque hair draped across her body, and in the new image Lady Gaga is still channelling Donatella, as she is topless with her platinum extensions strategically covering her chest. Completing her high-fashion femme fatal look with a a selection of stacked silver rings, Versace Medusa Necklace, barely there eye-make up and pale peach lips, from none other than Lucia Pieroni.
Lounging with Lady Gaga is the iconic Signature bag, in sumptuous new colours and enhanced by a silver chain on its shoulder strap with the much anticipated Palazzo bag which was introduced a the Spring/Summer 2014 show. Lady Gaga is he epitome of all that the Versace label stands for. A truly it’s a goddess of love as her counterpart Donatella Versace is.
