Spring 2014 Ready to Wear See By Chloé
Clare Waight-Keller, creative director of Chloé, with her incredible talent for easy wearability, made the See By Chloé collection a segment of colour. The inspiration for the models and collection came as the Chloé girl clothes are feminine, so they wanted the models to reflect that and the Chloé girl comes with a little more intellectual in feel.
The SS14 See by Chloé’s Spring collection tells the story of a British girl travelling to France. The tale is supposedly to be about a tale of a London college student who spends her summer vacation at her grandmother’s country estate in Normandy before taking off for Ibiza, then hitting the music scene through festivals on her way back home.
The bright colours break out into monochrome, with clashing colours blocked together, in a clean youthful style with sharp jackets, cropped trousers, cut-out frocks and long silk shorts with the combination of colour and shape to create structural architecture designs with interlocking segments.
A girl more sensual than before” is how Clare Waight Keller, defined the muse of her new collection. Softening the boyish toughness she has introduced at the house while not completely eliminating it had been the goal, and she largely succeeded.
